ones. The most economical are initial abbreviations of the words and word combina-
tions, alphabetisms. Also phonoidiograms are supposed to be quite productive as they
help to realize the compressive function of the process of abbreviations. It is obvious
that lexical abreviations are rare to meet in chatting since interlocutors choose the
more informative, short, clear models of words.
To sum up it is clear that nowadays studying various types of short forms of
words is a necessity in the Web due to their wide sphere of use. Virtual communica-
tion requires fitting as much information as possible into a small space possible by
pressing the fewest buttons, but it still needs to be understood by the recipients. Using
abbreviations can save time and the information exchange can be reduced to a small
set of symbols.

Статья посвящена аспекту рассмотрению языка как средства отражения
ментальности народа. Описаны способы определения особенностей менталите-
та народа сквозь призму грамматических явления в языке, особенностей его
лексического пласта и фонетических явлений.
