Использование солнечного света и тепла – чистый, простой и естествен-
ный способ получения всех форм необходимой нам энергии. При помощи сол-
нечных коллекторов можно обогреть жилые дома и коммерческие здания или
обеспечить их горячей водой.
In most countries of the world the amount of solar energy which reaches the
roofs and walls of the buildings is much higher than an annual energy consumption of
the residents of these houses. The sun light concentrated by the parabolic mirrors (re-
flectors) is applied to get heat having a temperature to several thousand degrees Cel-
sius. This heat can be used for heating the buildings or for producing the electricity.
Besides, there is another method of producing energy with the help of the sun – pho-
toelectric elements. Photoelectric elements are devices which change solar radiation
into electricity. Solar radiation can be changed into useful energy with the help of so
called active and passive solar systems. Active solar systems include solar collectors
and photoelectric elements. Passive solar systems are formed when designing the
buildings and choosing the building materials so that to use solar energy as much as
possible.
Solar energy is changed into useful energy indirectly, as well, being trans-
formed into other forms of energy, for example, biomass, wind and water energy. So-
lar energy «controls» the Earth weather. A great part of solar radiation is absorbed by
