THE IMPACT OF THE ELECTION ON THE ECONOMY IN USA

Данная статья повествует о влиянии выборов 2016 года в Америке на
экономику страны. Исторически ученые экономисты проследили последова-
тельность этого влияния как на цены в данный период, так и на поведение лю-
дей, заинтересованных в этом процессе. Также опираясь на исследование под
названием «Политический климат, оптимизм и инвестиционные решения»
можно сделать вывод о зависимости выборов и экономики в это время.
The impact of economic policy change is especially evident during the presi-
dential elections. Economic policy has become a major criterion in the discussion of
candidates and the state of the economy has a huge impact on the election results.
According to the results of the presidential elections economist Ray Fayer predicts
the outcome of the elections accurately, based on an assessment of the economic situ-
ation. History shows that income growth contributes to the victory of the ruling party,
as well as rising prices undermine their position.
Based on historical experience Fayer derived an equation to predict the results
of the presidential elections, using the following information:
• which party is in power at the moment;
• whether the president has put his candidacy for re-election;
• an increase in total revenue for the six months preceding the election;
• Price growth in the two years preceding the election.
