Abstract.
The role of the staff of Research Institute for Complex Problems of
Hygiene and Occupational Diseases in the development of the measures aimed at the
maintaining the health and labour potential of the population of the Siberian Federal
District and its territorial units is shown. The priorities of the implementation of sci-
entifically substantiated measures are set taking into account the strategic importance
for Russia core industries and their negative contribution to the health of the workers
and the environment changes. Based on the scientific experience of health profes-
sionals in Novokuznetsk, we have identified the main directions of the expert studies
to determine the need for treatment and preventive aid to the patients with occupa-
tional diseases.

Проявлению современной демографической ситуации в тенденции к со-
кращению численности населения трудового возраста способствовали негатив-
ные социально-экономические процессы, происходившие в России в конце XX
века [16, 20, 56, 71]. Уместно подчеркнуть, что одними из первых о предстоя-
щем снижении численности населения трудоспособного возраста стали гово-
рить ученые Научно-исследовательского института комплексных проблем ги-
гиены и профессиональных заболеваний (НИИ КПГПЗ) [21, 24, 39, 51, 87],
озвучивая на различных уровнях системы здравоохранения свои прогностиче-
ские оценки [19, 22, 50]. Учеными НИИ КПГПЗ постоянно проводятся научные
исследования по вопросам демографического развития и сохранения трудового
потенциала населения Сибирского федерального округа (СФО), которого в
большей степени касается проблема дефицита трудовых ресурсов, связанная с
ростом показателя профессиональной заболеваемости. Установлено, что среди
территориальных единиц СФО крайне негативная ситуация по состоянию обо-
значенного показателя сложилась в Кемеровской области [25, 26, 44, 64].
